Want Some Noise

My car (1.4 RT) doesnt sound beefy enough.

any cheap mods thatll boost the noise a little?

dont really want to have to inform the insurance company if possible...

De-cat, Im selling them for £30 + P&P, really makes a difference. My insurence company hasnt charged me extra for it. This will massivly increase the noise once it gets bedded in, and will even give you a few more horses.

I had a big hole in my silencer once. Boy was it loud.

Lol, i had that once, stuck a peco powermaster on there, boy was i disappointed, it was quieter than the OE one with the hole

Just say "as far as i am aware it will not give me any more power, just make ti louder", thats what i said to my insurance company.

That way you are not telling any lies as such, and if they are like mine they know nothing about modding, so will believe your knowledge, as long as ou dont TELL them it wont increase the power.

I tried that with mine

"Its just a washable air filter so i dont have to change it every service".

It will still be an extra £60 they replied, bollox!!

That was for a Piperx replament filter.

hehe, havent had to pay any extra for any of my mods yet, i have a de-cat, K&N, backbox, 16v bonnet, all declaired

what does a de-cat do? how do ya fit it??

Basically it replaces the cat, which restricts air flow. This makes the car go fatser and sound louder, it fixes on wiht basically two nuts either end as you can see by this pic

Its a replacment straight throught pipe for a catalytic converter

Might i just add that im selling these in the For Sale section, £30 each = P&P - de-cats that is
