I'm after someone to give my car the full works please.

I'll travel to wherever you are within reason, as long as you're good!
Please PM me or reply in here :)

Cheers mate.
Yeah I do, completely forgot to offer at the peacock the other night!

JimWD is best bet fella, I would let him do my car and let's be honest, with my anal OCD that's saying a lot.

Top fella, exceptional work and puts my obsessiveness to shame!

edit; not taking anything away from you Harpham fella :)

Dont worry about it lol ;)
Im the very same with my car, which is why im always very careful when thinking about letting others touch it! I dont even like my dad going near it lol!

And now see this is interesting as my dad won't go near mine, even if asked to help. He also won't touch the R8 since I detailed her this weekend . . . pics to follow ;)

Lol my dad doesnt look after his cars though, so I dont him near mine as I dont want him doing any damage to it ;).
When he does do repairs or something he has the attitude that if the normal way of doing something doesnt work, then force will.... Which often ends in damaging something :S The reason why with this car, any repairs that it needs will be done at a garage!

hes just startin his business up and is a mate of my fiance so anyone i send him will be slighlty less than what he would charge normally!

ill try n get some pics up of his work!
as far as im aware he uses all correct products and equiptment!

if he does a gd job i wouldnt be moaning about paying less lol

I'm not.

But mopping is . . . how can I put it? Like cutting out an expensive painting with a blind fold on.

i ment machine polish lol - but its does swirl and paint coreection - i didnt mean mop - im gettin myself confused!

im havin mine doen by him soon and he said it would remove swirls and bring the paint colour back upagain - and then all the wax's etc and it gonna be a full days work for £60 - until it comes bk that all i nknow but ive seen some before and after pics and he does a fantastic job

OK, I'll explain this a little bit more.

Mopping is the correct term for using a sanding machine and a buffing pad to remove scratches and contaminants left after a respray. It's a quick fix.

Paint correction is the art of correcting swirls by removing the least amount of paint possible.

If your mate is using a Paint Depth Guage (PDG) great. If not, I'd worry about the amount of paint he's removing.

Not being dumb at all chap. You're not to know. Very small % of the Gen Public do know the difference.

Just make sure he knows what he's doing, or you'll pay 60£ + £100s to correct the issues he's caused, either in respraying or proper machine correction.

i no hes said £60 to me and ill get a description or step by step of what he will do!

ill also get some of his before and after shots!

L to the OL.

5-6 hours for that? I don't think so. It takes me 5-6 hours to wash and reapply wax to mine. Let alone correct paint!

Clio sized car takes me 10-12 hours. So a day. I have two booked in this weekend, so keep an eye out for threads/write ups. I'll include time lines just for you.

+1

10-12 hours is how long it always seems to take me. I can't see how it can be done properly in 6. It took two of us 8 hours to do my mates recently.
