Warranty and Servicing

  Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique
I have a 2005 55 plate 1.2 16v Dynamique! its still under warranty and has around 12000 miles on it. Just wondering when it will need to go in for a service? dont want to void the warranty! Also what can i get from Renault regarding the warranty? im talking about new tyres, discs & pads, etc... (anything at all really) never had a car under warranty before so just wanted to find out what its all about and see if i could maybe blag some free parts lol :):S

Much appreciated!

I have a feeling it is every 18,000 miles or 2 years, which ever is reached first on non rs cars, there is also a 1 month/1,000 mile tolerance under or over the mileage, when was your car first registered?.

Free parts lol, the only thing you will get free from Renault is scratched paint if you let them wash it, do a search on here for a specialist near you as it could be cheaper than taking it to a main dealer.

IIRC Renault state something like Warranty will be void if you go 2000 miles OVER what the service interval is, although not sure thats necessarily the case as I went around 2500 miles over and they had no issues in doing a warranty job for me.

Ring your local dealership for the exact serive schedule required for the cars warently but it should be ever 18k or 2 years whevers the sooner personally though service it more at least oil chnage more even if you DIY it.

You don't get anything under warently there just a garage who carry out the service if the car has a faulty part due to manurfacturing then they depending on the parts will replace it for free but unless somehting worng and its a manurfacturing defect then they won't give you anything.

The rule of the warently are such that upto 1kmonth and 1 k late and its no issue. If you leave servicing for any more than that then Renault warently depearment migh in the eveen of a claim ask for a % payment by yourself if the correct servicing had had have stops the issue comming to light etc.
