warranty respray - dealers badge installation

Hi there, thought I'd post it up so you could all be prepared that if you have a corrosion on the boot thats what you'll end up with

so if anyone has got the original cardboard template I would more than likely be willing to pay for postage and return it after I have the badge properly installed!

So you got it resprayed, they reinstalled a new RS badge, etc. and they give you that?! WTF?!

I'd have looked straight at that and told them to f**k right off there and then.

If they really installed it and you didn't do it yourself then take it back and tell them Stevie Wonder could've done a better a job. Grab a courtesy car and tell them to call you when they've sorted it.

I would request a new badge and put it on yourself. If the garage are incapable of putting a badge on, i just wouldn't trust them with my car at all...

arent you helpful :dapprove: I took it back long time ago , they took the badge off on my request at the time, the Renault Poland does not deliver a new badge with a warranty respray so there is no more "taking it back" possible, but thanks for ALL the POSITIVE FEEDBACK

I'd just debadge it then, unless you pay for a new badge set from the stealers along with a guide.

Seems rather odd to me that they won't resupply one and fit it properly.

Exactly. What's the point in having a warranty. However, looking at his car details it says 06? Now I imagine that means 2006 in which case his three years is up, however his paint/bodywork warranty is still valid as that's five years. I'd imagine because they had to remove the badges to respray they should be liable to replace those badges properly.

yeah I made one hell of a riot at the renault bodyshop, and everybody hates me at that place now but it still didnt help at all, they are not receiving refunds for badges from the renault poland, and renault poland told me that they have resprayed the boot so basically their work is done, and blame it on the garage for not putting it on properly, the ball bounces back and forth between them, I just am so over this whole thing for a long time, the car is debadged since april 2009 but I just thought someone of YOU CLIOSPORTERS might be able to HELP by supporting a fellow member with the cardboard template - guide to fit it cause I would really like the badge to be back on the boot, as it looks like its been rearended without it I just might have to try doing it myself, and the car is 2006, it was covered by 24 months warranty in europe at the time it was purchased, so I also had to prove that the car has been serviced properly to get the respray at all...
