washing your clio

Lee

  BMW M2C

I usually just give mine a wash with Zymol each weekend and dry it off with a good leather. If Im feeling in the mood I wax it with Zymol, then once its done I put a fine mist of water over the car and buff it off with a Microfibre cloth. That seems to do the trick and gives a nice deep wet looking shine.

Some nice pictures here: http://www.leemather.plus.comhttp://www.leemather.plus.com latest pics were done with Zymol.

My brother gave me some real good stuff that his mate uses (who valets cars).

This is the professional stuff, and is like glue its that thick lol. Works wonders....

I use holy water from the mountians of tibet, i find that the monks infuse positive energy and make my car not only safe but far faster than anything else on the road.

if you want some i can obtain you some at £1000 a litre.

Is that with club discount?

Will it be cheaper if we arrange a group/bulk order?

I just use what dads bought for his car. Ive just washed it and I didnt look at what its called probelay some cheap halfords stuff.

For polish I use turtle wax stuff seems to dothe job well enough.

I use that zymol stuf only the stuff from halfords, but what i d0ont get is when you spray the fine mist of water after for that deeper shine i found it really hard to buff off and it made the car look all streaky what went wrong??

I was going to say - i always thought water and wax was a bad combination!

Anyone know the best way of removing polish from your car? I always find after polishing - waiting for it to dry then taking it back of that dust / static gathers. So the next time it pees down with rain, you get white patches over your plastics etc..

Made it look crap.

Zymol to wash (cause I love cocunuts) and if I can be bothered the 3 stage meguires.

Autoglym. Good enough for Aston Martin, Good Enough for me:).

Super Resin every few weeks and Ultra Gloss about twice a year. Kept my last 3 cars like that and they all looked great.

My Saxo had so much Autoglym protection is just didnt get dirty............well look dirty.

make sure that you use a clean cloth, not one youve been using to buff up the wax fr the past 3 years. I use the cloth i use to buff it wiht to polish it with next time and so on, so each time you are usign a new cloth to buff it off.

If you use stockingette the dust gets inbetween the stitching and doesnt get on the car. Can get this in a massive roll form market for about £2, and if you say you are from cliosport, and ask for a discount they even give you a dodgy look that sez im gonna cut ya for free.

get the meguairs 3 stage kit, which is :

Polish (takes a fine layer of the clear coat off slightly abrasive)

Paint cleaner (takes away oxidisation)

Wax (protects)

the meguairs gell shampoo is good also, all should be applied with a foam applicator not an old t shirt, then buffed off with a microfiber or terry towel, u should do all 3 every 1-3 months and just a shampoo and wax avery week, and as people said misting filtered water over the paint the next morning and buffing it off helps alot, but a mist should be just that u shouldnt be able to see it and should just lube the serface slightly.

always apply and buff in straight lines follow the way the air will travvel over your car.

remember a wax is a protectant and a polish is just that a polish slightly abrasive, they will come in hard waxes and polishes and liquid also, the zymol from halfords is not zymol its turtle wax badged up as zymol, turtle wax isnt the best stuff in the world, meguairs and some others are some of the best....
