Water in the LH chassis rail.

  PH2 172
I removed the front subframe reinforcement plates today to access the ARB centre bushes, and about a pint of clear water poured out of the bolt hole of the LH chassis rail.

Anyone experienced this, as I cannot work out how it got there?

You could stick a hose in the bolt hole and see where the water goes at the other end?

Would mean more water in there for now, but it's not like it's dry at the moment anyway... lol

Once you've worked it out, you'll have to waxoyl it, perhaps??

At least it was clear water, not horrible brown rusty water!

My thoughts exactly,

It`s something new, as the bolt was out 12 months ago, without this occurring, and it was a very dry summer.

Poking around with a camera on a stick, we cannot see anything amiss behind the suspension turret, though it is apparent Renault made a lot of use of panel

patches ands slapped a lot of sealant around during manufacture.

Good idea, thank you.
