Water On Inside Of My Roof

  TrackCar & F30 330d
I suspect there is no way of curing this problem.

As i have no interiour in my car my roof keeps getting so wet and its really quite annoying as it drips on my face. I keep forgetting to bring a towel to the car when i drive it.

Is there anything i can do apart from putting the headlining back in and useing a towel to wipe it every time?

Mine does exactly the same mate. It got so annoying I put the roof lining back in!

It weighs all of nothing. Just go for a bigger poo before the track day to compensate!

Sunroof? My g/f's has the same problem and its pouring in from the sunroof, lad at work had the same thing and he's sorted it by taking the sunroof out, cleaning it and using a sealer round the edge.

mine used to do that
it was leakin in from around the ariel

Its just condensation.

When a car has carpet/soundproofing/headlining/rear seats/carpets, the moisture is absorbed.

When the car is a tin can with two seats there is nowhere for the moisture to go and it collects on the roof.

Every track car i've owned does it.

You could leave a big jar of salt in the car over night and that might absorb the water.

Or stick the lining back on, it can't weigh that much can it?

Sorry yeah its the condensation.

Its really annoying.

I've just had a thought, i may find every single one of these little packets i have at my house.

Those might soak up the condensation.

Hmmm although i can just see getting pulled over by the fuzz and getting asked what 200 small packets of little crystals are :S

"its to soak up the condensation officer"

"course it is son, do you mide stepping out of your car please"

I'd get a shower bag kind thing, you know the mesh fabric kinda ones, stuff silica gel in and tie it to the floor under the seat or the boot floor.

I have this box in the car atm that I think my mum bought, it just appeared there anyways, but it's zapped up like 0% water atm and it's been in for 2 weeks.

The leak on my passenger door isn't helping lol.

mine used to do it when it was stripped bare. its a pain in the ass and the only way of stopping it is putting the head lining back up. as you know it doesn't weigh anything. its the only way that makes sence.

Oh but the headlining is g*y.

I have a big old felty throw back at home. I may just cut it to the shape of the part of the roof above the driver/passenger and stick it on my roof.

Might solve the problem and might look cooooool lol

That's all my berlingo van had, and that stopped it dripping on my head.

Can you not just get some sub box carpet and spray glue it to the roof? (its like felt stuff) Weighs fook all, looks neat, and cheap!
