Water Pump

Getting my cambelt done soon on my 1.2 16v and I'm wondering if i need the water pump renewing at the same time because iv heard that you should always change the water pump when you get the cambelt done??

You should get it done yes.
I didn't, and admittedly 15k later It packed in, whole lot had to come back out !

Such an easy job to do aswell but the above is correct; get it done as part of the timing belt service.

yes most definatly on the 1.2 16v's. it's a must really.

probably would on a 1.2 16v as it's not an expensive part and they do like to leak.

we would only advise changing it if it showing signs of leaking (i.e. white residue around the pump)
