Water pump

Water pump has totally gone how easy is it to fit a new one and what does it entail

Luckily its run off the auxcillary belt so its pretty straight forward tbh. just make sure you put a new aux belt kit on too

Yea but when I drop the engine down I can't really get great access also what is the bolts holding it in.

it's a mess about actually. Lower cambelt cover off to give you better access (not necessary 100%, but easier) which means upper belt cover off. upper alternator bracket off, bumper off.

I took the top cambelt cover but when I lowered it but sump hits subframe

What is the bolts holding in the housing

I don't remove the alternator bracket to remove the water pump. they are E8's iirc. its about an hour and a half to do, but thats with a ramp. Emma and I did hers on the floor and it was a PITA.

How would I get the engine down lower so I can get into it without the sump hitting

You have to lower it gently on to the subframe.
