waterpump life span?

hi folks just had my cam/auxbelt changed asked if i needed to have the waterpump changed but was told it looked in really good condition,
i have a mk2 172 it had done just over 47000 when the belts were changed

what sort of mileage can you expect out of a waterpump?
is the waterpump run off the cambelt or the auxbelt on the mk2?

How long is a piece of string its impossible to say I'd say 70k is a minimum most are fine though there are one with 150k+on stock pumps.

It runs off the AUX belt.

I had my valver one changed at my last service, about 118k I think.

Good job too, it was fooked! lol

Just had mine replaced at 34k what a fuckin noise it made too
