Depending on the Wax:
Some need to be wiped on and off straight away, some need to stand and then be removed - always read the instructions.
I apply most Carnubas with a foam hand pad, and remove with a soft plush microfiber cloth. Nice thin even coats, to thick and it will just be wasted product.
