waxing your car

Poorboys professional Polish and then Poorboys EX-P Sealant.

If you have a light coloured car you could use White diamonds polish instead of pro polish. If you have a dark car use blackhole polish.

If you're after a harder wax there's always Poorboys Nattys Paste wax.

i was quite happy with the result after using auto glym. never used to like it and thought it was over priced until i managed to get all the products from my works for £25. might sound stupid but if you read the handbook on how to actually use it, then you do get fairly good results with it. go in the detailing section mate you will find alot more info in there :)

Christ.

Think I need to get my arse into gear and organise this new detailing guide. Feet barely touched the ground for the last two weeks, hence the delay.

Have a look on the detailing websites and do a quick search James, there are a lot of threads on this that have covered all pros and cons of waxes and makes.

I know people put threads up about this nearly daily now but its not that bad. Even with a guide you'l still get threads. Yes its annoying going over the same subject 100 times but it would be the same if you were talking to someone face to face.

I use a spray wax with most washed in between actual waxing.

Ive been using meguires tech wax (not the spray) i really like it. Got the Meguires carnuba wax too

I'm hoping people might not ask as many questions and I can have the guide on copy and paste ;)

Plus it will contact reviews on waxes, links to sites and will generally tidy the detailing section up a lot.

I might also ask to include local detailers forum names, i.e. Paul, Ali, Luke, Stephen and I should they require machining services.

Yeah, missed a few off, will send out PMs to people ensuring they are OK to be added to the list. Thanks Alex :)

Hey champ. I offer work by hand within the Ayrshire area. Any chance you can get me in on something aswell ??

I will PM people who have posted in this forum. The ones I have mentioned are the people that are currently going to be working on the guide. Once the guide is final stages of being put up we will ask members.

Admin will also be consulted to ensure we are not breaking advertising rules on this website.

Oh aye I agree dude. Its not just in this part its the whole forum.

Like someone puts up a thread about irractic idling (which someone did yesterday)..reponses were "use the search function", which yes is true but they could of used the time/energy to say have a look at this thread blah blah blah.

Guides are a godd idea but we'l still get questions. Just some people seem to get annoyed when someone asks a question. Not everyone can follow guides/make there own opinion ;)

(thats not aimed at anyway by the way just saying :) )
