Weaker brakes

  Oyster Card
My pedal feels harder than normal today it was fine last night, the car still brakes as it should no loss in perfomance in that area, could I put this down to all the salt on the roads or is there something more to it?

Could be colder fluid??? If it's hot then it gets spongier so does the reverse happen when it gets cold? lol

Should be fine really though mate - even if the servo assistance packs up, you can still stop. (just by standing both feet on the pedal.. LoL)

LOL I remember what the brakes like without the servo when me and my mates tried to bump start it not a nice feeling as your rolling down the hill preying it's going to start as you've got bugger else way of stopping.

Something that is worth a mention though is the front brake pads are running a bit low, I'll probably mention it to HI-Q tommorow as they replace my Fan belt, they're charging me £60 for fan belt and pas belt inc fitting at £40ph

Going by £40ph any body est. how much it'd cost for some new front pads and fitting?

It's probably me, I'm like that with all the cars I've had (...destroyed) I try and pick faults with them and in the end in my head I'm always worrying about diffrent things which usually result in nothing.

Front pads are only cheap under £20 from Halfords.
Check the servo assist line though it that fails the pedal goes very hard.

It's not hard as in hard it's just that theres no play if you know what I mean not a lot of progressive breaking if you get what I mean.

Got the car back Hi-Q changed the PAS belt and the fan belt for £50 pretty decent they showed me the old belt too the fan belt was frayed and was on it's way out (dreads to think what the cams like...)
