Is this theory correct, or am I cocking someones website up:

1) Download page from server

2) Edit in dreamweaver (only text atm)

3) reload to server

job done?

Thats the best way to do it.. you can setup dreamweaver to edit directly from the remote site but if you fook it up you wont have a backup.. plus its not a good idea to make live changes to a site until its all 100% okay.

Short answer.. yes
