Website Forwarding

I have found a domain for sale which is very similar to one which receives 10k+ hits a day and I know for a fact that lots of people type in the address wrong and end up at the domain I am looking at buying (has yet to be taken).

I have heard you can then forward the traffic onto a website and make money from it, does anyone know anything about this?

you can add meta that forwards an address onto another website:

<META http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://www.yourURL.co.uk">

What you do from there is something else tho!

You could possibly get ads on there, with pay per click or something like that!

I've got one that is the same as above but we have keywords on the end to get the search hits as well. Like this:

<meta name="keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2">

Cool cheers guys! Basically someone I know has a site which is a mis-spelling of a popular site and it forwards onto a gambling website and I know for a fact he makes money out of it. I would ask him but its complicated!

Does anyone know any companies who pay comission for getting hits to their site? (There must be some as that guy is doing it).
I did have a look on the site his goes to but can't find anything for that time of scheme.

I think the '0' is the amount of seconds before it re-directs to the 'said' page. so you can change that to 5 and it will wait 5 seconds.

I also read somewhere that its not good to leave it as '0'.. i cant remember why tho, Adams_16v knows more than me about this shiznit anyway!
