My mate sold them a right old dog of a Celica, he got about a grand for something worth a few hundred quid.
They can't seem to ever get a price right.
Really !??
I would say they always pay between 15-30% less than what it's really worth .
You generally get bottom book.
They are not quite buying blind as the valuation is subject to an inspection when you take the vehicle to their offices.
It’s not too bad for mainstream bread and butter cars but anything specialist/older like a Clio MK2 or Z3 is worth very little to them
They usually send them to the block and the hammer generally comes down at much lower than the retail value.
Then the car ends up at a small time trader in town for retail money.
They offered me £5000 for my Defender 110 which has a private sale value of £14,000.
And £500 for my £2500+ Clio 182
That’s where my complaint is. If somebody didn’t know the true value they could get stuffed like a chicken
Yep, took the money and legged it!
MOT history shows they even fixed it up.
.....says my Clio 182 is worth £500
Make sure you get agreed value. As if you need to make an insurance claim for loss or damage that is where they will start.
It was the same with the Z3, another car where the price guides are behind actual values.
What car ? Sell it to @Daniel and laugh at how short, old and ginger he is whilst beating his time on the racing game while you're there.anyone ever used or know of anyone that's used Best Car Buyer?

😂 they are few and far between but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are mega rare.Ooooh.
Are they mega rare ? What about thru 'Collecting cars' ?!
I assumed it was a 'generic' run about haha.
I'm 28 and I've had 3.😂 they are few and far between but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are mega rare.
changes his mind/car far too often, he's only 23 and this is his 5th car, don't think I'd had that many by the time I was his age.
Hold up .. is your cash actually waiting ??What does he want for it? I’m sat on cash trying to find a company car replacement but may buy something fun until middle of next year now

Haven't even asked if he's got a genuine reason for sale yet, you lunatic.
he's been offered £19,330 by WBAC, then Best Car Buyer have got in touch offering £20k. Never heard of Best Car Buyer, hence me asking on here. What does he want for it? I’m sat on cash trying to find a company car replacement but may buy something fun until middle of next year now
Problem is they don't pay what they offer. Ever. Always a reason to reduce offer. Took my 535d m sport there, bearing in mind in was 15 years old with 150k offered 1800 online less than 8 in person because wheels had small marks on them.Pisses me off people moaning about this, do you think they are really going to give you market value for a car they know nothing about to then try and sell on for a profit.
They clearly tell you what they'll give you for it, don't rip anyone off, if you're not happy with the price don't sell to them.
I used Evans Halshaw equivlant and was very happy with the price they offered and their service, car was only year old mind.
LOL @ getting shafted on the finance, and WBAC. Does he not like having any money ?he's been offered £19,330 by WBAC, then Best Car Buyer have got in touch offering £20k. Never heard of Best Car Buyer, hence me asking on here.
There is finance on it to settle that's why he hasn't advertised it
oh and he's decided he wants to buy a house = reason for sale 😂
£4.5kOther half won a car once. £7k Fiesta (Ultra base model). She had it delivered to her, got to her with 1.9 miles, took it to WBAC and guess what they offered...?

£4.5k
They are only a last resort for people in stupid finance deals!
May as well set fire to it than sell it to them!
Not always the case, a few months ago WBAC were offering way more than anybody else for used BMW M2’s.
Offering then when you take it in they know 25% off the offer
So they paid £6300 for a car that had a new list price of £7k!!! Are they still in business?
Edit—- if they sell that at the new price, their profit would be £700 less vat, less stocking costs, commission etc. So probably make around £300! That’s if they sold it at the NEW list price...
