Weekend/Track Car

hey
well after my friends and i choosening to go to the nurburgring april next year i choose to sart looking at cars, after seeing my mate garys clio i knew what i wanted, so the search was on for a 172, after only two weeks i found one in scunthorpe, 83k cambelt just done,servised ect, went to look at it and bought it :D

by the time we got home it was to late to do anything to it but the next day we cracked on giving it a good clean

next we booked to go to anglesye for a javlin track day , the car was totaly standard performance wise and was on proper ditch finder tyres,but i had such a blast of a day ,

Sounds like good plans... I would avoid the Gaz coilovers though, they don't have a good rep for the RS Clio's.

iv just been chatting to a fella about FK konigsport ones, bit dearer than wanted to spend but if they are alot better il get them

I had gaz golds, they were alright an there customer services was good an refurbs are cheap an quick turn around. Did make the car skittish on the bumpy local b roads. Heard good things bout new space too.

What seats are you getting? Also im getting the pure motorsport top mounts / strut brace package, get in on their group buy in the car parts section.

Cheers pal :) my dads gots some brand new cobra ones that were for his westfield but never fitted them ,just got to have at a look at a way to mount them as low as poss ,my mates and i are meeting later in the week for piccys pm me your number,im looking at getting coils first seen some spax ones on here im interested in :)

Well tonight i had Gary for gok garage services fit my temp replacement exhaust which was just a new standard exhaust,it was only a cheap crappy one so after what seemed to be ages to get it fitted it was on, it has a slight air leak and needs adjusting abit but in the time we had its fine fir now ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355873037.055591.jpg
After that i nipped to my mate and picked up my new OMP steering wheel

I should also be getting my ds2500 front pads some time tomorrow which will be getting fitted along with aload of other bits on friday :)

Well yesterday i had my ds2500 front and rear pads fitted by my mate Luke ,massive thanks to him :)
The pads feel great just need to get the new abs sensor sorted our,tonight i nipped over to see Gary from GOK garage services in crosby to have a look at sorting my exhaust as its been blowing. We got that sorted and sorted out fitting my new polybush dogbone mount

Whilst it was on the ramps i lowered the passenger seat and touched in the brake ducts with a new coat of satin black as it had peeled

I now am on the hunt for coilovers,whiteline Arb and tyres :)

How did you Lower your passenger seat mate? It really bugs me that it's so much higher all the time

Just undid the 4 bolts under the car that hold it in the. Tilted the seat forward and removed the washers underneath then put some smaller ones in place ,can do the same for the drivers one :)

I see nice one, i was going to purchase another drivers seat so they are both hieght adjustable
