weight of front seats?

does anybody know the weight of a front seat on a cliosport, just cause ive been looking at cobra milano seats and they say they only weight 13kg but then i seen these http://www.tillett.co.uk/html/car_seat.html i think there out of the catenham, 2.5kg a seat! now thats a weight saving

i think i might get these carbon seats rough 35kg saving on seats strip back seats out 30kg save then 15inch ultraleggra alloys 12kg saving

Lol, have you ever sat in a set of caterham seats?

Numb bum after 5mins, bad back after ten... will ruin the car, you'll hate driving it after a while.

Either keep the standard seats, or get a set of cobra imolas.

What are you planning on doing with the car?

i want it to be faster without messing with engine to much my plan is to
reduce some weight
decat and remap
limted slip diff
4 pot brakes
blitstin suspension

You have to think of the convenience vs actual difference mods make.

Well set up coilovers, exhaust and decat and a set of good brakes will make most difference from those mods. After that look at a set of buckets and removing the rear seats, but think of the implications of having no boot, and only two seats and harnesses (which are a pain in the ass for everyday use)

I have been looking at buckets for my FF however also looked at a cheaper option, how hard would it be to make up some brackets to fit for instance the standard cloth seats from a CRX 1.6i-16?

I assume a seat like that would weigh less than 8kg?
And there bloody comfy, they may look s**t but who cares in a fully striped interior

imo i think wait saving on seats is pointless, i mean for a 30kg saving its money not worth spending, but thats just me, i hate it when you see a 20 stone guy saying i might get lighter seats to weight save, no cut out the bk's , you will go faster, but nice seats do look good

I got some cobra misanos in mine. Thought the standard seats were heavy when getting them out, but putting the new ones in they felt just as heavy lol.
I wasn't trying to save weight though, just trying to be comfortable!

my dynamique front seats were 18.6kg. had to weigh them for shipping. doubt there would be much difference between them and the sport
