There's no airbags in cup seats either. I've been given a pair of half leathers and they must weigh about 25kg each! The weight of the leather which must be around 1kg.
IIRC, the Cup seats have deeper bolsters which makes them more supportive. The cup seats smell and look crap for the sake of a couple of kg imo.
They smell crap? Maybe you should clean them because mine don't smell haha. The cup seats smell and look crap for the sake of a couple of kg imo.
I was surprised how heavy they were when I ripped them outCup seats ain't light either. Not sure about airbag weight.
The Cup seats are pretty light compared to the 172 ones. IMO, the Cup ones are more supportive too.
Buckets may be an option in the future but I was only really wanting to know the difference to see how much weight I'd be adding to the car by swapping the seats. Most of the weight in standard seats will be the extensive amount of metal in the frames, subframes and tilt mechanism. Also, assuming the clios have seat belt tensioners, they will be in any model. If you want to make weight loss a priority, then go for aftermarket buckets. If its not that then go for which ever looks nicest, feels best, cost less and/or is easiest!
