Well, I bought the H&R's....

  Italian 3.2 V6
H&R coilovers Should b with me tmrw. Can I fit them easly myself? There already setup by previouse owner..

Is it easy enough? What tools will I need!?

Any1 around cumbria able to give me a hand at all?

Cheers, piers.

There's a guide for H&Rs in the guide section, tells you everything. Need spring clamps btw if you don't have any...

  Italian 3.2 V6
I have 2 axle stands and just the stock Renault jack.. And don't have clamps lol, sounds like it could end in trouble.. :(

da, unfortunatly you are too far away :( would need some1 more local
..

Think mark fish is worth a call, how much does he usually charge and were is he based?

Da

  Less
I'm closer than mark Fish ;)

I'd fit you them tomorrow evening for £50 if you drove to me, I have jacks, stands, clamps etc etc.

Si

  RS Clio 172
wont they need setting up again? just because the previous owner did them on their car doesn't mean they'll be right for your once fitted.

correct me if i'm wrong.

  Italian 3.2 V6
Wer are u again da?

Well the previous owner seems to have a guuurrd setup, rear camber, height etc etc, and was very detailed n seems to know what he was talking about, also had a 172, same as me.. So just fitting should be ok I would imagin, only diff thing I wanted was to have -2 degree camber on the front ;) hehe.

As above. Not as easy as just chucking camber shims in either.

  Italian 3.2 V6
Rear cambers not adjustable. Only with shims which I doubt you'll have.

Oh I have them alright, he included them with the coilies as he wasn't going to need them any more ;) he had them set to -1.5 at the rear on his..

I have the full shaban.. All the gear, no idea

Hahaha..

  BMW M5 & E36
Shims which sit behind the rear disc and axle? What do you use the car for? 1/4 mile hero arent you... why bother with the hassle of shims for that?

yea the toe/camber shims (10'',20'',2x30'') and needed tools are In the package,... And naa I wana try n get involved in abit of track days this next year.. Like Many people have said.. Clio is for the track, not the strip..

I didn't pay any extra, he just thru them in with the price for the H&R's.

Have you got 4 shims? 1x 10, 1x20 and 2x30?

If so, I'll be willing to bet you're running 30 mintes a side of camber, which will give you anouth 1mm of toe in ontop of what its running standard. Thats not "set-up". thats just some shims fired in and not measured, corrected or in an any way going to make you quicker. All you're doing is gripping up the rear massivley, which isn't the way to go fast.

To set the rear of a Clio PROPERLY, you'll need more than spring compressors and spanners.

Lol well I don't know, I dont have the parcel yet, I'm no expert in all this, I'm only going off what he said... Which was...

"it is a complete set as when new plus allen key and special wrench attached

4x rear toe/camber shims (10'', 20'', 2x30'')

camber on the front is adjustable via elongated hole, you'll see"

AND

"ALIGNMENT:
Fronts are set to perfect ride height, adjust only if corner weighted, underside of*rear platform should be 18mm from rear beam,
use OEM bumpstop.
*
I suggest you leave the rear toe/camber alone for now (usefull only for track work)
Factory setting: -1,5° and 30'' toe in
*
*
Fronts should have either:
*
minimum camber (-1°)*and 10'' toe out (fast road)
or
-1,5° camber and 0 toe (occasional track day)
or
max camber (-2,5°) and 0*or 10'' toe out (track work)
*
Just set camber to minimum (hubs outward)*and get your tracking done cheap for a start.*"

...so, I dno, just going off what he has said.

You'd have 2mm toe in if you stuck 30' of camber in each side. Best way is to string it up on a level as possible surface and get a camber guage.

Go parralell and 2-2.5 up front and parrallel and 1.5 on the rear. No need for any more on a rpad car or it'll tramline and destroy tyres.

naa lol, still wana keep it for a pro to do.. i would f**k up big time prob :(

Honestly mate, if i can change my springs, you can put coilovers on. The only bit that was a pain in the arse was removing the front struts and then realligning the hub bolts.

WD40 is a must though. Front suspension will be siezed at the top and both hub bolts. The guides are easy to follow and there are a few so you can compare them. Fubars is the easiest to follow. You could put them on yourself and the go to a professional to set them up correctly.
