Contact RENAULT UK. Im sure you will sort it out if you let them know that you will give a lot a bad publicity for them. I did just that witha insurance company after painting there logo and name etc on a damged wing i had (Celica) then driving around so everyone could see it. After i told them what i was doing my claim was settled in 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont worry thats happend to me mate its the mount bolt

its made from "renaultmetal" which is about as strong as marshmellow

if it is the box its £1400 but your car is under waranty right? you didnt do what i did and void it?

thats odd tho 2 people with the same fault on the same car at the same time

how many miles you done?

got it serviced at a non renault garage (dont trust the dealers round my way)

but if found another dealer now really great

my 2nd box went @ about 9500 miles

mike that sounds like a good idea, my girfriend had an accident in her fiesta and her insurance company sent it to AUTOBASE, IN DARLASTON, WALSALL, they charged direct line for a new tyre and wheel, and when my girfriend recently had a flat tyre took out the spare, and hey presto thats where they hid the smashed alloy! they even passed the mot with the smashed alloy in the boot! Also it had a full service, but they failed to mention the oil pissing out everywhere which has now ruined her step dads brand new driveway.

The AA bloke looked at it and thought it was a sh*te design its only a sliver of metal holding the bolt on and its snapped right off.... I cant believe it I mean it should be able to take the way I drive shouldnt it?

ive never heard of the actuall mount snapping wow!!

LOL.... dont I cant believe it..... I cant even get it in gear now where the engine has twisted round... Fecking thing... how the feck did that snap i mean on a 1.2 as well like its got so much power and stuff.....

its due to that stupid mount it moves far to much

Well my valver did the same thing last year - but then that does get some hard driving. The gearbox mount completely sheared off, dumped the gearbox onto the subframe and it started shedding bearings inside the box. Ended up needing around £2000 of work after I got everything worthwhile done while the lump was out.

Well its in there now.... they didnt say much coz they have not looked at it yet.... No curtasy cars avaliable till end of march either.... thats me screwed how am I going to get down southend now eh....
