Had a new laptop for around 2 weeks now and the sound worked fine.
For no apparent reason it just decided to stop working, now there is nothing wrong with the built in speaker as when you turn the laptop on & off the sound works...
so it must be the settings somewere
but everytime i try to play a song it says :
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.
what can i do?
