wet floor in my cup?? anyone experienced this?

hi, had my cup a week and have just found that underneath the front passenger seat the floor is wet/damp. is this a common problem? has anyone had this before or know of a fault?


any help will be appreciated

see if there are any holes under the dash, maybe some1 put some cables thru and just left a hole?

cheersmate, im gonna take it into renault, and see if there is any warraty left on the car and go from there. will have look if the weather ever gets any good!!

my sister had the same problem but she took it to good old renault and they hadn't fitted the windscreen properly but this was after going to renalut in york and then renault in ireland and then finally they found the problem at the lookers renalut in chester ... yipee.

i didnt know what that guy meant by the seal at the bottom was leaking (in the link above). which seal at the bottom of what? its only wet directly below the seat not in the foot well.. so i guess that cancels the windscreen out of the equation right?

there seems to be a join/slit in the carpet below the seat and its damp under it.. i havent had a good look yet.

This happend to mine,There is a grommit behined the dash were the heater pipes come in to the cars heater matrix. they srink with the heat off the pipes but thats only half the porblem. behined the engine were the window wiper motor is there is a water catchment were the rain , wen you wash the car , runs down and out the bottom of the car .it runs in to a funnel like pipe but this sits right above this grommit then gets in to the car you may fid the carpet lagging soaks most of it up befor you notice

thanks mate if it was leaking there then surely the foot well would be wet too? it wetness only seems to e directly under the passenger seat.

have booked it in at renault on wed, i dont trust them and have no faith in them fixing the problem but its under warranty so will have a go.

Mark - take it to Inchape renault in southampton if you have no luck with simpkins renault

i might do this as i think my windscreen is leaking grrr, like you said until we have some dry weather i can't really pin point anything.
