Just booked my 172 in for a 24K service and noticed a couple of things.
1)I started ringing round dealers for the best quote and was then told to ring their main number to speak to their service booking centre. I wasnt right convinced about this but they then gave me the cheapest quote of the lot, for the garage I wanted, and with a courtesy car chucked in!
2)In the price they quoted me was a optional additive that they added to the engine to bring down emmissions. This did not increase the price but if you dont have it they knock you £25 off!
What is this additive and what does it do to your engine? Not really botheres as I have been given the best quote but need to know if it will slow the car etc...
ps... Has anyone had to replace their clutch on a 172 and how amny miles had you done?
