Larger wheels will increase the look and performance of your car!
The performance increase is a result of mounting a wider, low profile tyre and a larger diameter wheel.
The tyre is wider and gives your car a wider stance.
Better lateral stability and increased steering response is achieved because the wheel is taller and the sidewalls of the tyre are shorter.
We can provide you with the correct tyre size to keep your car at the correct height, ensuring the gear ratio & speedometer reading on your car remain unchanged!

Well, depends what ya mean by performance.

Performance isn't always straight line speed.

If wider tyres mean you get better traction/handling/whatever, you will perform better on a track.. maybe. So they do improve performance.

My 1.2 handled SO much better with 195/50's than it did on the standard whatevers they were.. heh.. so corners could be taken quicker..

It shouldn't do.. if people understand where I'm (and probably lots of other people who agree with me) coming from.

True, touring cars don't run huge wheels and tiny profile tyres for no reason.

I'm with Daz on this one. It depends what their definition of "performance" is. Is it speed? Or handling? As the seller is called wheelbase I'd have a guess its handling:)

larger diameter wheels (inclusive of tyre) will increase top speed, but reduce acceleration rate - slightly.

Surely unless the dish of the wheel is wrong, the track will be virtually unchanged?

Can't be arsed to even read the rest of that ****

I would agree with Daz on this too.
I had a Smart(!) which are known for bad understeer. Fitted wider profile tyres front and rear and the handling was transformed and I could certainly corner a lot faster and safer, hence the car performed better.
