Previous colour "Petrol blue"... If this is true, what a waste of a rare car!

It's only a wrap, just peel it off if you wanted to go back to original colour.

I tried running the reg through the Renault system and it has not came up so more than likely it was registered with a private plate and changed back over by DVLA but not on the renault system

Ah, didn't look closely enough- just saw the twin exhaust, and then looked for the original colour... My bad...
