What alternators will fit my valver?

As above really, need a new one but which ones will fit, ie williams/RT/19 etc? Also anyone know what rating the valver one is and how much it would cost to get one refurbed by an electrician?

Ok lights were dimming earlier less I revved my engine need a new alternator asap! can they even be refurbed?

I used a clio diesel alternator on my last valver, fitted ok but i dont think it had the amperage that the valver one had, mind you it's still on there now the bolt holes are directly opposite iirc

One from a renault 19 16v fits, I can't remember the rating of them though - should be about £80 (possibly exchange)

Are you sure cat? I had thought the alternator was one of the things that you needed to change if you put a 19 engine in a clio? or is it just mounted differently?
