What are the correct bulbs?

  Monaco Blue 172
ive been looking all over the furom now, and even looked in the guides section

but im totaly confused, many people are saying all different bulbs and all different places where they go

the guide says as follows

Ph2 Sport Headlight (HID/XENON)

6.jpg

D2S HID ------Headlight Bulb

H7 (477) ------Dipped Beam

W5W (501) ----Side light

P21W (581) ----Indicator

but i thought the D2S HID were dipped beams? and the one next to the sidelight buld was full beam ( as it seems to work on my car)

h7 is standard dipped beam bulb for most cars i know that (cups non sports etc)

but what bulb is it for the Full beams? as it cant be a h7 as it is totaly the wrong size for a start?

maybe this needs to be corrected? and does anyone actualy know what number the Fullbeam bulb is?

im stuck between H4 and H1 at the moment??

-Full beam (the one you only flick on if its a really dark road and no one is oncoming) is H1 bulbs

-The dipped beam (normal night time driving) is H7 bulbs (Which Im guessing is your xenon ones)

-Sidelights (the smallest of the bulbs, in the same dish as the Full beam) are 501 bulbs

Well on my Mk2 Ph2 anyway, although mine doesn't have the xenons so might be different!

Da

  Less
The xenon (dipped) lamp is D2S.
The main beam is H1.

Sidelights and indicators are correct.

This is correct. Only yesterday I fitted some H7 Osram Night Breakers to my 182. To clarify, these are for the high beam (the one you put on when it's really dark and no one is in your line of sight).

Definitely H7.

Changing the bulb is a piece of piss. But for the life of me I ALWAYS struggled to get that round rubber cover back over the unit where the bulbs are!!!!
