What camera for £250?

Been looking at these

I know very little about cameras so after some suggestions.

It's for my dad, so will just be a "better" than average camera. He has mild interest in pics but TBH only does point and shoot.

second hand EOS as said, i just got a 450D with lots of extras for £350, i saw a couple of 400D's for around the 250 mark too

then u will have change lol there the entry level camera for the " pro range " its all i need it for its good if you dont want anything all singing and dancing.

I had the canon powershot sx10 IS. Very easy to use, and took some cracking pics aswell. Helped me no end in learning.

This is the one i'd probably buy, just the fact it uses it's own battery is downside.
