Michelin Pilot Exalto 2 in 205/45 R16, the tyre that is suppose to be fitted to the car in the first place. Was developed for cars like the Clio 182 Cup. It's about £100 a tyre and will give you better braking, handling and traction than some budget Federal.
Putting bigger brakes or coilovers on a car with rubbish tyres is a pointless exercise.
How many miles has the car done? When was your brake fluid, pads and disks changed? If it was a while ago some better pads and new fluid might be a good, standard pads are fine for most situations though.
Ever been to a track day? Maybe spend some on driver tuition and some track time and get to know your Clio nearer it's limits?
