What cosmetic things to watch for when collecting V6 from Dealer?

  Renault ChaVio
Appologies if this has been double posted. I thought I aready did this but now can't see it?

Anyway, will be collecting my new car from the dealer next week and need a bit of help as to what to look out for cosmetically on the MK2 V6. I am travelling 300 miles to get the car so I really need to put together an idiots guide for me and them so that they know what I'll be looking for before I get there and if need be rectify it.

I don't really expect much if anything to be wrong but I was wondering if there are common things like the front lip being missing if they get scrapped easily.

What do I need to be eagle eyed for?

like you say check the front bumber as this is easily damaged on the front lip, also check the wheels for kerbing as these can be expensive to replace and any knocks could throw out the handling on the car. Check the tyres as well these are also very expensive to replace, and tend to wear more on the inside of the trye. You should still have warrenty on a MK2 v6 i shouldnt worry to much about it, enjoy the car and if anything goes wrong just take it back to renault ;)

Thanks, Ronin.
The warranty is cool. What worries me are the little cosmetic details as the place is 300 miles away and dropping it back off to get sorted after I collect it will be a nightmare.

So far then:
Lip on front bumper
Kerbing on wheels and tyres
Wear on inside edge of tyres

General chips at the front. ( may be a bit late as you have already seen the car and should have raised any points then.

Check service book to ensure servicing has been carried out correctly.

Before driving home check oil, water, washer bottle, all lights work, A.C. works, radio O.K with key, wheel nut key, pucture repair fluid under drivers seat, jack and brace in boot.

That should see you home.

Do not forget to inform Tracker of change of ownership. Make sure you have all the paper work for this.
