what could this be? somethin or nothin?

in the last 3 days ive driven over 750 miles, long journeys! today ive gone to check my coolant and theres about 1 cm in the bottom, so topped it up! next i checked my oil, its half way up the stick. i had only just finished drivin when i checked the oil so the reading may not be accurate but its a bit suspicious, my first thoughts were headgasket?! is there anything else it could be?

well when was the last time you looked at your coolant? and when was the last time you looked at your oil?
is there any oil in coolant/ coolant in oil? mayo on the cap?
fill you cooant and your oil, watch your temperature and watch your levels. look for steam out the exhaust.

changed the oil last month, used 5w40 stuff, so its pretty runny anyway! ceck it every month and last month it was fine. no mayo!

when was coolant last topped up? Headgasket would show signs way before u notice that much lost

Check the oil first thing in the morning before you set off, otherwise there will still be some in the engine as it won't have had a chance to drain to the bottom.
