What Crank Sensor?

Apparently there are two crank sensors I can get for the Ph1 - a blue one and a black one. I don't have the car at hand to check what one I need, but what is the difference? Think I read somewhere that the blue ones are not as good. But will either work on the car?
I think I remember that it is black as I couldn't see anything blue in that part of the engine, unless it is covered in crap and now is black lol!

The blue one i think is the revised loom version thus being the better one.

How revised? Will it work in in an old loom if mine isn't the new loom? The car is an X reg originally.

Can work if modified. Easier to use the new loom tbh as i believe it addressed a few issues with it.

This sounds complex!!! I hate anything electronincs or electrical!!!
I may just get what fits without modifications!! WIll have to have a look before I buy and then not get it now
