What does a Cup compensator valve look like and where exactly is it located?

I've bought a Cup non ABS setup from ebay but they seller says his mechanic can't find the rear compensator.

What does it look like and where exactly is it located?

Just above the rear beam on the passenger side, its an aluminium block with an arm coming from the top of it linked to the rear beam. Follow the brake pipes and you'll find it.

Had to replace mine earlier in the year cos I cross threaded one of the ports after replacing the small pipes from the compo to the flexi's.

One I had was fucked - valve had seized solid. Didn't even seem worth the effort to refurb/replace, just rigged up some lines with a tilton bias.

It shouldn't be linked to the rear beam.

Tiltin sounds interesting. Any hints/tips?

Would be the worst thing to fit that. Brake bias valve in the car to the rear brake lines. Will make it better then a cup setup..

Nothing special len, just one of these:

Four port master cylinder - two fronts to the front calipers, one rear blanked, other rear running through the bulkhead to the bias valve onto a T to each rear caliper.

Rigged up copper hoses to the braided take offs front and rear with P clips to secure the lines. Heard the cheaper flaring tools can be a bit of a mare. Got a press type that made doing them a piece of piss. Just check it comes with the right flaring dies if you end up sourcing one. That's about it tbh mate.

Thanks Guys. The Tilton looks great.

So I definitely shouldn't fit a compensator?

What would be the implication of fitting the master cylinder and servo only as a temporary measure?
