What Else Could Go Wrong

Well 2 weeks ago my car was squeeking like mad, took it to the garage and he said it was from power steering belt. He said to be would like i want the cambelt doing while its stripped down and its due to be done, but as i dont want the car no longer and looking to sell it within a month i decided against and save myself £200

Came out today after a drive and found my car was smoking from engine. I look opened bonnet to see wha looked oil had leaked and then burnt, so i quickly took it to the garage and he looked over it and said it could just be a little leak or maybe even the head gasket need be strip down to knw for sure. so its now booked in for monday to be striped.

Anyone know what it could be and if it is the head gasket how much would that be? its a mk 2 phase 1 1.4 rt if thats any help. If is pricey job i thining of selling it for pennies n getting my new car.

Head gasket!! Your looking at about 200 odd quid as a guess. Fook, I have no idea how long it would take either. If anything, wouldn't an oil leak indicate a problem somewhere else in the engine block?

Most head gaskets can be repaired without having to dis-assemble the engine. However some cheeky garages probably would strip the buggar.
