Cheap ones off ebay then laqured over them. You can pick your colour I was tempted To go blue but will sell them at some stage and didn't wantto limit the market.

Cleaned out the green gunk from under the boot lid / roof join. Was quite rank. No idea why I didn't do it before.

Fitted new snappy wheel, love it! Also changed gearbox oil with help from a modified hose pipe, going to attempt full coolant flush with new expansion tank tomorrow

Good job. Did your gearbox feel any different afterwards?
Like the look of your car and that wheel looks amazing. You should polish the headlights though as they look like they are hazing a bit.

Cheers @optical , I actually did the headlights with 3m kit about 6 months ago, but they have hazed over again yes...maybe need sealed with something next time I do them? Not had a proper chance to test the gearbox, but the old stuff was very black and dirty compared with the new fresh stuff so can only be a good thing

Finally got my steering wheel controls sorted. Tried two of the adapters in Halfords, neither of them worked and the one he suspected would be right was £65. Found it online for £40. So expensive but I can't help but feel like if the buttons aren't working, then they're broken! So I had to get it sorted.

Assembled the tack day mount for Curborough on the 5th. Happy with how it turned out to say the bar was £8 from B and Q, U bolts were £2 for both of them and the "super grip" for the dashcam was £19 but i'll be able to use that all the time when trials biking

Had the tracking done

Fitted the rear wiper and cleaned it for the first time since November

But Saturday I did the belts, alternator and PAS pump

All timed perfectly.

Revealed the beast from beneath it's car cover and tried turning it over (hasn't moved for 3 months, battery disconnected)

Fired up first time! Not even a hiccup or splutter 😅 very pleased. Now to get the thing insured again...

Took my track car to the hand car wash and let the afghans get all that horrible carbon brake dust off lol. Had the engine management light start flashing for a few min then went off. Other than that spent most of the day looking for a nice Trophy I'm considering buying one.

Removed the rear wiper motor and starting to paint the blanking plate for it, just need to source a grommet for it.
