What have you done to your car today ???

  Clio Tourer TCE100
I wouldn't put those T1R's back on come summer.

They're shite ?
surely thats a piss take?

Summer toyo proxes? I wouldnt put them on my kids little tykes car!

Not had any issues since fitting them in the Spring, but then again I'm driving a TCE not an RS so nowhere near as much power at the wheels and I don't try and drive it like it's an RS. If I disappear from the forum then you know what has happened - check the ditches around Coventry.

I had them on the car when I purchased it, they literally tried to kill me every time it rained, it wasnt even when gunning it, sometimes just cruising along at 40mph round a bend of sorts and the cars sliding all over haha.

fitted PS3's and never looked back!

Fitted stronger 400 front & 300lb rear springs to the Gaz GHA`s.

Removed the exhaust from the manifold back, had a blowing crack in the cat welded up, and refitted with new fitting kit, gaskets, clamps, nuts & bolts &

hangers.

Flew through the MOT with no advisories.

Full Geo booked for tomorrow.

Thanks for that.

I have a mounting point on the slider, so will use that.

I`ll do the passenger side 1st, now I`ve got the MOT done, and see where it sits height wise, as I suspect I will need side mounts or I will look like a 10 year old

that`s stolen a car.

Yeah if you're using sliders it'd be best to fix the buckles so that they move with the whole seat when it's moved forward and backward.

Geo done at STS in Bedford.

Could even up the rear camber with a 20` shim, and the front caster is a bit out due to taking a stab in the dark where to drill a new hole when I had original

Ph2 wishbones welded & redrilled. to a supposed Cup spec.

The steering feels so right, perfectly weighted with the steering wheel horizontal in a straight line, I cannot be bothered to piss about with it.

Of the few alignment places I have tried, STS seem to be the only place that get it driving straight first time.

Will be there in the new year once I refresh the suspension.

I take it you have camber shims on the rear already? Looks to be more than standard.

Replaced the windscreen washer pump after the old one made a lot of noise but pumped nothing. Followed the guide on here after finding a replacement on eBay for £5 ??

Sunday - fitted new 'plain plates' on, I did buy a set a couple of years ago but never put them on, when I took the plastic off recently they'd gone slightly weird, so I got a new set.
They were cheaper than the crappy looking ones the dickwad in the shop wanted to sell me last week. Happy days!

Well spent the last couple of days excl Xmas day removing gearbox + subframe. First time so proved 'interesting'. Subframe bolts to 3 hours to get out due to being seized.

I take my hat off to you guys who do this outside in poor weather?

Subframe off to be powder coated and gearbox off to NorthloopCup for Gripper diff to be fitted....... roll on on Harewood Hillclimb 2019 season!

Now just need to source a nw clutch (while it's out) and drivers side drive shaft due to split gaiter...grr

Changed the manifold to cat gasket and bolts, after the old ones broke free. A simple job in theory, but spent most of the time trying to saw off the old bolts, which had rusted on.

Changed my 172 cat today, what an absolute ball ache, defiantly a 2 man job with one holding the bolts from the engine bay!

You little pussy , be as defiant as you like, but you enjoyed the enjoyed the 2nd man working on the nuts.

Changed the back box for an upcoming MOT on the Mondeo ST which was a piece of piss.

Dropped of the kerb ramps and ping, snapped front spring. Tried changing that and sheared the pinch bolt in the strut/hub carrier. Used hub now required.

Both tie rods also needed replacing.

On closer inspection both bottom ball joints had very slight tears and as they are rivited in the whole lower arm needed to come out. Gets better as you need to lower the subframe to get the ball joint out the hubs and rear bush bolt out.

Fuckin nightmare!
