Fitted new wheel.

16156611885_e48268b15f_b.jpg

Looks really smart. I've been tempted by a smaller wheel myself but I can't live without cruise control and don't want it to look daft with NOS style buttons.

I did have the thought that perhaps I could rewire the stalk controls for cruise. Volume up as speed up, down and speed down and then the top two buttons as the 0/R buttons. Never looked into it but might have to in the new year.

Treated it to some things.
Hammerite smooth silver for touching up the brake calipers, silver from factory but is just looking a bit untidy now. I'm guessing lighter coats for the best finish.
Paint brushes obviously.
Also got it booked in for the gearbox to be looked at and the glovebox to be replaced.

Washed and waxed mine....then did a 3hr motorway journey up to North Wales andaround some country lanes to see the missus, now the car is filthy!

Oh and fitted wind deflectors and my brake duct inlets in the of lights ready to be plumbed in, photos to follow when in back home.

Cancelled the insurance on the Trophy and bought another Clio, this time a DCI 100. Really impressed so far, the average MPG from Walsall back to Leicestershire was 72.9 MPG.

Bump started it so I could take it out for a spin been sat on the drive for almost 3 weeks, Took it out for half hour but need to take the battery out and put it in the house on charge and just remembered I need to fill the washer bottle up lol.

On Friday I got it an undertray from a 1.7 diesel Astra, they come fitted to diesels but weren't put on petrol's as a cost saving measure. Same subframe etc. so should fit fine, protect the engine and keep the bay cleaner. Also ordered a fixings kit for fitting the undertray off eBay as these are obviously missing off mine. Today I dug out the edges around the drive to make it a double drive, so both car's can go on the drive and so mine doesn't have to go on the road most days. Aching now and have a few big blisters!

Fitted refurbed (and straightened) OZ F1s (Lepsons, satin black) with new Pirelli Snow Control 3s to the Trophy; ordered centre caps from ebay. Cleaned up the Turinis / PS3s and stacked them in the shed.
