what is a tune point

if i were to use a standard renault cd player but i want to power my amp and the amp to power the sub would i use a tune point? or somthing else with rca's?

ive heard you can take a feed off the 6x9/rear speakers

iam not to sure could be worth investigating though have a look on the net or ask your local audio centre
