What is missing from my 172 air intake??

Ok so I am looking to tidy up my air intake.

I know I am missing a clip/bracket that holds the top of the filter housing to the outfeed. But what else is missing? The whole box just seems to be sitting on engine pipes and stuff, not actually fixed to anything?

Sorry for the daft question but having never owned or even looked at a 172 engine bay before, am not sure where to start and what to ask for! Help appreciated!

It would be easier to junk this lot & fit an induction kit.

I appreciate what you’re saying but having read a few reviews on induction kits vs oem intake, I’m just going to leave it and add an aftermarket filter. Want this car to be tidied up and kept standard too.

I can see the front bolt holding the air box in place is missing, so I’m going to guess the rear one is too.

Also, get a replacement intake pipe, yours has had a rough time of it by the looks of it. Stick a new jubilee clip on whilst you’re at it.

One more thing, get yourself one of these.
