what is the book price part ex on my car?

hi guys just a quick one how much is my 51 plate clio 172 sport worth as a part ex with full service history and 56k on the clock? can anyone let me know asap as i am being told it is only worth 3700!!! which i think is shocking!!!

Jog on, i'd say around 5500 to 5750 private sale so part ex, take 200-400 from that?

i know mate i wanted at least 5k for it on part ex but i cant believe they say it is only worth 3700!!! shicking..reg vardy hey aint they good....not!!!

Assuming its a 2002 if its 2001 about £150~200 off.

They won't even attempt to sell your car at that age its off to the auctions so they'll pay what they will hopefully get which at auction ins't much..

Its the price to change you need to look at.

you normally take about a grand off private sale price so about 4.5k sounds more like it. Have u haggled with them?

cheers guys thanks for your help bugger this my car is worth more to me than that so i am going to keep the little beautiy and get everything repaired that needs to be:-

new driveshaft, cambelt change, full service and mot and the rear bumper needs a full respray climate re charge !!!bugger how long it takes i wont give that garage the satisfaction lol cheers again guys thanks for your help!!!

^ if it needs all that doing i'd accept the px and do a runner from the dealership, will prob cost you much more than the 500 quid they're under quoting you px!

yeah mate but i owe finance on it and it means me putting down 2 grand to get out of it!!! over ti e mate i can get these done and my fiancee will help me and my mum and dad lol i am getting the parts needed for the service and it will cost me 35 in labour for a local garage to do who i trust i have had my xmas check by gordon lamb and they did not pick on anything that would make the car fail its mot so thats that out of the way...i may even chance the cambelt (i know it is silly i know i know) and leave for another year till i get closer to 72k and the rear bumper spray is goin g to cost me 80 to get it done properly lol

upto u mate, if it was me i'd px, but as you say always nice to get one back on a garage!

what they offer you part ex varies loads depending on what your part exing it for .. but you should be able to argue them up at least £500 - i doubt you'd get more thn 4.5k for it tho - private sale is always the best option but you have to consider the advertising costs / time fo year and the joy riders who just what to take a reasonably quick car for a jog round the block !

cheers guys the thing is though i need top put down 2k!!! and the only real reason i was selling the car was because of the problems and repairs needed but to spend 2k is a bit silly!!
