when ur hold the computer button down on stalk control and the brake pedal.

I recloacted the battery to the boot. and th car limits in between 5-6k so assuming this has upset the vvt solenoid or something.

any ideas on what the officail line is for the above fault line / code?

t---
means an injection fault has been detected for greater than 4 seconds.

---h
means an oil level sensor fault has been detected. Resistance from the sensor should be between 6 and 20 Ohms. Any reading over 20Ohms is an open cicuit anything under 3 is a short circuit.

i believe i have made a school boy error. The black cable from the alternator needs to be connected to the negative on the batterry which both need to be grounded.

i have funking forgot to connect the black lead from the alternator to the batterry negative which means battery run/ran out of juice and caused electrical probs? by messing up the Ohms in the circuit etc.

will connect this up and see what happens.

Thanks though DA, where can i find the fault code info from is there a particular place other than your brain? (for future ref)

Dave, having looked into this further I believe those codes may be the wrong way round - meaning t is the oil sensor and h the injector.

Either way, alot of the fault codes can be found on here if you serarch for them. Those are the ones I could recall off the top of my head.

If you search for edde's guide on here about using the diagnosis thing on the mark 2's there were quite a lot of people who had nearly every fault showing and the car ran fine, so I wouldn't worry about it mate. I have H showing on mine and the car is spot on.

just for other peoples future reference, the cable i was using for my relocated battery wasnt able to draw enough power or something and caused all the elec's to get upset. Put the battery back and everything was fine no problems since. Need to get some better cableing and try agani with the relocation.
