the bit in the middle covers the top side where you should have to screw it on so you cannot just screw straight up ,unless you drill a hole up through the whole splitter, i ended up cutting a slit into the top part of the splitter and putting a self tapper in the bumper already and tried to slot it on, it all got rather messy and i desided against it.
