What is this!?

I have an RAC windscreen on my car but it has the rain / light sensor.

Down the bottom of my windscreen, in the centre there is a different coloured square that I can't work out what it is!

My windscreen has the blue film tint to remove blue light from sunlight but it looks like this bit doesn't have it over.

Anyone?

It was used in France, for a pass of some sort iirc. Normal.

Yeah like Addicted said its for devices for tolls (like the old DART tags) etc iirc.

Ah I'd guessed it was clear glass so you could attach something but I was going down the lines of a satnav suction cup.
