What Oil and FAQ

Hi all,

About to do a oil change to my 172, what oil do you all recommend and do any of you know how many litres you need to fill the engine?

Sorry, probably been posted a million times before, do you have an FAQ on this forum some one could point me to with the basic questions/common faults on the Clio, saves me posting embarrassing questions.

Love the Clio 172, had it a few months now and value for money, Wow! Used to have an S2000 before and the Clio is so much easier to drive at the limit on Public roads than the S.

5W 40 just over 5ltr with filter.

Elf Excellium LDX 5W 40 is what Renault would recommend.

5.5 litres would be enough.

I use mobil 1 its the best you can get. £42 for 5l.
Go to halfords and buy a filter removal tool with the chain on £3.99 theres no way you can get your hands in properly so if its tight your fcuk,d

I am running mobil 1 but it is the 5w40 you get in france - Cheap & seems ok.

But the Mobil 1 over here is 0w-40, which is not suitable for the 172

yes it is, you can run 0W, 5W, 10W, 15W
