What oil is recommended?

I have a DCI 1.5 and looking to do an oil change. It will be first time on this car since ownership? What type of oil is required, and what brands are recommended?

5W40 fully synth IIRC. Opie Oils (trader on here) or Renault Wolverhampton (also a trader) will know. Alternatively it should be listed in your user manual.

I been doing some searches on parts websites and they also suggest 0w40 as well as 5w40 - both fully synthetic. So I'm a bit confused.
