What oil to use ?

hi all

im looking to do my first engine oil change and im not sure what oil to use and how much of it.

what oil do you use and wheres the best place to buy from

oh and its for a 172 cup

5w40 fully synthetic is best, halfords own brand stuff is £32 for 5l alot of people on here use it including myself, cant complain , just make sure you get the fully syn one
