What paint?

If I wanted to achieve something like this (the flag colours on grille) then what paint should I use?

Doesn't really needed to be sanded down or anything first does it?

Most people just used different coloured electrical tape, but if you're using paint use a plastic primer first then spray colour over the top,
the grill already has a rough surface so doesn't really need sanding.

we talking about grille or engine cover.

engine cover will need to be sanded, plastic primed, basecoat (colour) and laquered.

the grille you can do by just wrapping electrical tape around it. you can buy different colours off ebay for a quid or so
