Looking at getting a Karscher 380D with a snow foam lance for xmas.

Is this a good choice? Also were is the best place to get them cheap! I can get the pressure washer with 15% Staff Discount at Hellfrauds.

Been looking at cleanyourcar.co.uk as well, what else would you guys recommend getting? Looking at perhaps some clay + Decent wax and any other products you think are good really!

Help appreciated :)

They all do the same really mate.

Doesn't really matter what lance you get as long as the attatchment is suitable to your jet wash. As for the jet wash you mentioned - Its karacher (sp) so you can't really go wrong with them being market leaders.

Clay wise - Anything by meguires
Wax wise - Anything by swissvax (probably onyx on a decent budget)

Foam wise, I have PH-neutral but been tempted to try out citrus as its ment to be a little more agressive. I would recommend PH-neutral though if its just getting grit/shite off. I would also buy it by the gallon as a 1liter container doesn't last.

silly question but how citrus(ey) is the foam? would it deter say a cat from jumping on a bonnet? they don't like the smell of citrus

When you buy a pressure washer, dont cheap out otherwise you will spend half your time taking it back and getting a new one. I boutgh one from homebase for cheap.

its been replaced twice now! and the handle on it has gone AGAIN!

Karcher ftw

FLOL. we once put half lemons on our shed rood to stop the cats from sitting on there, opened the curtains the next day to find one cat asleep with his head 3 inches away from one. This is bs.

No wouldn't stop cats from jumping on the bonnet lol! Only thing I would say is bash a few layers of wax on there for a bit more protection.

Can't see it doing much against those sharp claws though!

Great advice here guys, nice one!

I saw the foam guns. But i want the pressure washer to lift off some of the grime under the arches etc.

I'm guessing I wouldn't put it at full power or I will have a car with stripped paint? Or are they not that bad?

I recently purchased a Karcher 2.36 from Tesco for £50. Attached my foam lance and smothered the car with a very thick coating of foam. It's powerful enough (110bar) to remove the caked up crap under the arches. Quite impressed for a cheapo. The pressure washer will remove cats from the bonnet too.

just to say on the top line of what you wrote, what type of lance you thinking about? dont get the actual karscher one with the wee bottl, its guff. to get proper foam you need one like on clean your car, quite expencive but worth it!!
