What rad for cars with ITBs?

I ran one on my last car for 3 years and it was very exposed at the front. Sold it on for as much as I paid as it was still like new.

Unless something decent pops up quickly I think I'm just going to run what you run too mate.

Then at some point get a custom one made up via a mate ;)

I don't have my car to hand either haha, that's why I'm finding this so hard!

Otherwise I'd be able to see and measure etc

This one is golf mk2 and I'm pretty sure would fit length ways (I would measure first though) It needs a small pipe cutting off and welding up just beside the main hose at the bottom though, you could have two pins welded to the bottom too so you can use the standard radiator mounts but I'm pretty sure you will feel that is too much effort for your situation.

Edit: also if you want to know of fitment Ian Speedy uses the same rad as myself (the direnza ones off eBay) and he has done some nice brackets and mounts for the fans and hoses. There is some pics in his thread.

Everyones different, the polo rads I have seen are a massive downgrade from the oem rad.

Thread Hijack: @MG cup My latest acquisition is ticking over at 1600rpm.. Any ideas?

Could be mapped like that, unlikely.
If everything was previously okay then an Air leak on ITB's or where the carbon canister used to go on the breather plate or maybe the throttle cable or ITB linkage bound up.

is it ATpower throttle on a tdf ecu? every one I've seen with that setup runs high idle. It's usually because the idle control parameters in the ECU aren't activated, and the throttles are not setup properly. 1600 is very high though, I suspect you have an adjuster screw come loose or similar

I've run lots of vw rads on different spec ITB cars, they only start to struggle on very very hot days, with high compression engines.
